MYB player Michael Xu takes Silver at 2021 Junior National Championships and qualifies to represent USA in the XXIX Pan Am Junior Championships in Acapulco, Mexico, July 15-23, 2021

Back on national competitive courts after the long break due to pandemic, Michael Xu played in 2021 USAB Junior National Championships last week. The highest ranking junior tournament in the country was held in the Cabarrus Arena in North Carolina this year.

Michael competed in BS U17, XD U17 and BD U17 events.

His best result was in BD U17 event, in which he fought his way into the finals and won second place !

This year JNC served as selection event for the XXIX 2021 Pan Am Junior Championships in Acapulco, Mexico, taking place July 15-23, 2021. Both, Gold and Silver medalist qualify to compete in Pan Am.

Congratulations to Michael, who will be one of the athletes representing the USA in the tournament. Only 9 junior players from Northeast region earned a spot in Pan Am.

This will be Michael's first time competing in such prestigious tournament. Good luck and go team USA !
